Admissions

Admission into Camino Real is simple. Potential applicants must first submit information to qualify for the commercial driving industry. We want our graduates to be employable upon completion of training.

Training Requirements

Our training requirements are the same as the requirements of employers in the commercial industry. We don't just train you to pass the DMV Test, but to become a employable driver.

Applicants should meet the following:

  • A valid Drivers license: Free from restrictions, DMV holds, suspensions
  • A work history for the past 3 -5 years or able to explain gaps in employment status
  • No more than 3 points on driving record for past (5) five years, and provide proof of driving history with H-6 Print out from DMV
  • No DUI/DWI with in the past 5 years
  • No drug related felonies within the past 3-5 years
  • No reckless driving within the past 3 years
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years old

Admissions Process:

  1. Come in with all required documents
  2. Complete an Admissions Assessment Application
  3. Take Admissions Evaluations Exam
  4. Complete Funding Assessment
  5. Upon approval for funding, registration and enrollment

Acceptable Documents:

  • Drivers License
  • Social Security Card
  • Proof of the Right to Work in US
  • H-6 DMV print out
  • Resume/Employment history outline
